Neil Jennings is responsible for supporting the development of strategic partnerships with policymakers, businesses, and non-governmental organizations. In addition, Neil is part of the interdisciplinary Climate Cares Centre, a consortium of researchers, designers, policymakers, and educators aiming to understand and support mental health in the context of current climate and ecological crises. His team published a significant briefing paper on the impact of climate change on mental health in 2021, which received coverage from news outlets worldwide and was cited by the World Health Organization. Neil led a Wellcome-funded project entitled Connecting Climate Minds, which convened dialogues among climate change and mental health experts globally. He joined Imperial in March 2018 after six years working with the Sustainability team at the National Union of Students (NUS), where he managed the Student Switch campaign. Neil also holds a PhD from the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia and has educated thousands of students on various climate and health management courses.
