Biography

Dr. Neil Parry graduated from Medical School in 1996 at the University of Western Ontario, where he also completed his residency in general surgery. He undertook a trauma critical care fellowship at Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, under the mentorship of Drs. Rozycki and Feliciano. He returned to the London Health Sciences Centre in 2003 as a Professor in the Department of Critical Care Medicine in the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University. Dr. Parry has previously served as the Medical Director of the Critical Care Trauma Centre and the site lead for the Critical Care Outreach Team. He is currently the Medical Director of the Trauma Program at the London Health Sciences Centre and serves as the Site Chief of Surgery at Victoria Hospital. Dr. Parry is actively involved in the Royal College of Physicians Canada as the Vice Chair of the General Surgery Examination Board and is a national member of the Trauma Committee of the America College of Surgeons, where he chairs the Surgical Skills Committee and is a member of the ATLS Committee. His main academic interests focus on clinical outcomes in trauma, critical care, and acute care surgery.
