Dr. Neil Warren

Biography

Neil Warren is an Emeritus Professor at the UNSW Business School, specializing in Taxation. His academic journey includes a tenure as the Head of the School of Taxation and Business Law, where he contributed to the academic community as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Director of the Centre for Applied Economic Research. He has a distinguished career with significant involvement in the public sector economics and taxation areas, working on tax incidence, fiscal federalism, and welfare reform. His contributions include consulting for government bodies and international development projects, as well as authoring and co-authoring numerous articles and reports on taxation. He has served on various committees, including the Tax Gap Expert Panel for the ATO, and he has been an ardent advocate for reform in Australian taxation through his research and consultations.
