Biography

Neil Yorke-Smith directs the Socio-Technical Algorithmic Research (STAR) Lab at TU Delft, focusing on enhancing decision-making in complex socio-technical situations using technology. He is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science at Delft University of Technology. He has played significant roles in organizing prestigious conferences, such as General Co-Chair for AAMAS'27 and Programme Chair for AAMAS'20 and IAAI'21. In addition to leading STAR Lab, he co-directs the ICAI AI & Logistics Lab, which focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and logistics. Yorke-Smith collaborates with multiple partners across academia and industry, aiming to drive impactful societal outcomes through his research and teaching.
