Biography

Nelson Gonzalez completed medical school and Anesthesiology Residency program at the University of Antioquia, one of the prestigious universities in Latin America. He is currently an Associate Professor at Western University and serves as the Director of the Colombian Airway Management Committee under the Latin American Confederation of Anesthesiology Societies. Nelson completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia and Transplant Anesthesia at Western University and is currently a candidate for an MSc in Health Technology Assessment at the University of Glasgow in the UK. His research interests focus on Health Technology Assessment, Evidence Based Decision-Making, Knowledge Translation and Implementation, Economic Evaluation, Decision Modeling for Transplants, Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Airway Management with Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS).
