Biography

Nenad Medvidovic is the Director Emeritus of the Center for Systems Software Engineering and a Professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California. He completed his Ph.D. in 1999 at the University of California, Irvine, where he also earned his Master’s Degree in Information and Computer Science in 1995, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University in 1992. Medvidovic has received numerous prestigious awards including the National Science Foundation CAREER award, the ITR award, and the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Service Award. His research focuses on architecture-based software development, particularly in software architecture modeling and analysis, middleware, product-line architectures, and support for software development in distributed and constrained environments. He has been a program chair and editor for major conferences and journals in the software engineering community.
