Biography

Nestar Russell is an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary. Originally from New Zealand, he moved to Canada in 2011 as a Commonwealth/Canadian Government postdoctoral scholar. He has published many articles in respected journals such as the Canadian Journal of Sociology, the British Journal of Social Psychology, and the Journal of Social Issues, contributing significantly to the field of sociology and drawing on the work of Norbert Elias. He teaches courses on deviance, crime, and sociology of violence, showcasing his extensive knowledge and research experience.
