His publications include contributions to journals such as Critical Asian Studies, Journal of Southeast Asian Studies, Foreign Policy Analysis, and TRaNS: Trans-Regional and -National Studies of Southeast Asia, among others. He has substantial work experience with various think tanks and research institutions in Southeast Asia, including the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute and the Penang Institute.
