Biography

Nicholas Davis is a Swiss-Australian foresight expert, scenario thinker, and policy leader. He serves as Industry Professor and Co-director of the Human Technology Institute (HTI) at the University of Technology, Sydney, and is the Director of SWIFT Partners. Founded in 2022, HTI is an impact-oriented institute that leads cutting-edge research in data science and provides advice to the public and private sectors on AI governance. SWIFT Partners is a Swiss consultancy focused on helping organizations harness emerging technologies to create sustainable value. Nicholas has held several significant roles in addition to his current positions, including Head of Society Innovation and Membership on the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum. He is also the Managing Partner at SWIFT Partners, a Geneva-based tech consultancy. Notably, he co-authored "Shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution" with Klaus Schwab, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum. Additionally, he is a Certified Professional Facilitator and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) in the UK, and he currently serves as an Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, as well as at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. His career has included a board role with the IMPROVE European Innovation Management Academy.
