Biography

Nicholas Montgomery is a Lecturer IV in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. He specializes in urban and regional economic policy, as well as household decision making. He has developed and taught courses in various subjects, including urban economics, sports economics, and labor economics. Additionally, he has experience leading courses focused on the history and process of economic data collection. Dr. Montgomery has served as a co-instructor for Honors programs at the University of Maryland and the University of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Michigan and has previously taught at Franklin and Marshall College, University of Maryland-Baltimore County, and University of Maryland-College Park. Dr. Montgomery is available for advising during the Fall 2023 semester.
