Dr. Nicholas Pitt

Biography

Nicholas Pitt is a historian and archaeologist focusing on human and more-than-human networks that shaped British colonization and the empire. His expertise lies in the eastern Australian context during the latter half of the nineteenth century. He has also published works on the topic of twentieth-century Russian migration to Australia. His research delves into the complexities of historical narratives and their contemporary implications, particularly concerning colonial legacies. Nicholas is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of New South Wales, where he contributes to academic discussions on colonial history and the interplay of historical events with current social dynamics.
