Biography

Nick earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022. His research focuses on enhancing light emission using nanophotonic structures and developing proposals to enable new emission pathways with these systems. He has also worked on enhancing scintillators using nanophotonic structures and photonic crystals. Nick moved to Harvard University for his postdoctoral work and focused on techniques to understand and control quantum noise dynamics in multimode nonlinear optical systems. His research has garnered several prestigious awards, including the LeRoy Apker Award from the American Physical Society, a Junior Fellowship from the Harvard Society Fellows, the Andrew Lockett Memorial Fund Thesis Award from MIT, and the Tingye Li Innovation Prize from Optica.
