Nick Nesbitt received his PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures (French) with a minor in Brazilian Portuguese from Harvard University. He previously taught at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and Miami University in Ohio during 2003-2004, where he was a Mellon Fellow at Cornell University’s Society for Humanities. Noteworthy collaborations include co-editing "Revolutions Future: '68 Prague Spring" (2020) and works on Deleuze's philosophy and music. From 2019 to 2021, he received a GAČR grant to serve as a Senior Researcher at the Philosophical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, focusing on his latest book, "Price Slavery: Capitalism and the Revolution in the Caribbean," which explores themes of capitalism and slavery within the context of Caribbean studies.
