Biography

Nick Reed completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University and obtained a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. He earned his PhD from the Graduate Department of Rehabilitation Science at the University of Toronto. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, where he also directs the OAK (Outcomes, Advocacy Knowledge) Concussion Lab and holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Concussion. Reed is actively involved in the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto and serves as an Executive Board Member of the International Pediatric Brain Injury Society. His research and educational scholarship primarily focus on developing, delivering, and evaluating programs specific to youth concussion and utilizes a range of research methods including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches. He has a strong interest in knowledge mobilization and community engagement, with a passion for helping youth achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
