Biography

Nicola M. Orlov, MD MPH is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago. She is a board-certified pediatric hospitalist who serves as the Residency Program Director and Vice Chair for Education. Dr. Orlov graduated from the Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency training at The University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident. She completed her MPH at Columbia University and has participated in the Medical Education Research Innovation Teaching and Scholarship (MERITS) fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Orlov’s research interests focus on coaching, feedback, and remediation, and she leads workshops and speaks at educational conferences. Her notable publications appear in journals such as Academic Pediatrics and Academic Medicine, addressing various topics in pediatric education.
