Biography

Nicola completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge in 1995, after which she worked as a postdoctoral associate at Yale University for four years. She joined the Medical Research Council Biochemical Clinical Magnetic Resonance Unit in Oxford and later moved to the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics at the University of Oxford as a Research Lecturer in 2004, where she established her own Experimental Neuroimaging research group. In 2007, Nicola became a part of the Department of Oncology and is a member of the Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology. In 2015, she was made a Supernumerary Fellow at University College, Oxford. Her research focuses on identifying the role of the inflammatory metabolic microenvironment in brain metastasis and developing imaging biomarkers for tumor detection and monitoring.
