Biography

Nicolas W. Chbat has over 22 years of experience in the Research & Development industry, having spent significant time at prestigious institutions including General Electric Global Research Center, Mayo Clinic, and Philips Research North America. With a focus on critical care medicine, he has established the Cardiopulmonary Laboratory, leading advanced engineering applications in this field. Dr. Chbat holds more than 50 issued patents and has over 40 publications to his credit, along with a book. He is the founder and CEO of Quadrus Medical Technologies, Inc., where he develops software products aimed at improving critical care medicine through modeling, estimation, controls, and data mining. In addition, he serves as Co-Director of the Center of Excellence for Critical Care Innovation at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. He has received numerous accolades for his work, including the Dushman Award and the IEEE EMBS Technical Achievement Award.
