Biography

Dean Nicole Chong is an active member of the Legal Writing Institute and the Association of Legal Writing Directors. Before joining the faculty, she was an associate at Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling in Philadelphia, focusing on commercial litigation. Dean Chong has represented major international telecommunications carriers in collection matters, as well as local manufacturers and retailers in fashion accessories patent infringement litigation. She has handled contract and tort litigation for both local and national companies and is a member of Klett Rooney’s Appellate Practice Section. In October 2022, she presented on judicial writing at the WCAB retreat, and in October 2025, she continues to guide the growth of Penn State Law's Legal Writing Program.
