Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Brown University and an affiliated scholar with the American Bar Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to earning her PhD in Sociology from Northwestern University, she served as Chief of Staff in the Clinton Administration's White House and worked as a Consumer Brand Planner. Gonzalez Van Cleve has received numerous awards for her articles and research, including the Kimberlé Crenshaw Outstanding Article Award and the Distinguished Article Prize from the American Sociological Association.
