Biography

Nicole Reisch qualified in Medicine from the University of Rostock and Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germany, obtaining an MD degree with distinction in 2002. After completing her core medical training, she underwent specialization in Endocrinology from 2003 to 2008 at the University Hospital Freiburg and the University Hospital Munich (LMU). She began her research career with a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Centre of Endocrinology, College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK. In 2010, she returned to Munich, where she worked as a clinical scientist and became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at the University Hospital Munich (LMU) in 2014. In 2017, she achieved a Heisenberg Professorship, subsequently being appointed Professor of Endocrinology. Throughout her career, she has held prominent roles, including Vice President of the German Society of Endocrinology and national Coordinator of Endo ERN, playing a significant part in the management of rare endocrine conditions.
