Biography

Nicole Robitaille is an Associate Professor and Distinguished Teaching and Research Fellow at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. As a behavioral scientist, her research sits at the intersection of consumer behavior and decision-making with a focus on improving consumer welfare and informing public policy. She employs both laboratory and field experiments to address various questions in domains related to finance, health, and sustainable behaviors. Throughout her academic career, Nicole has published in leading journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Management Science, and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and has presented at numerous international conferences. In addition to her research, she has served as an advisor to the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada and the Government of Ontario's Behavioral Insights Unit. Notably, her work on increasing organ donation was recognized with the Ontario Government's prestigious Amethyst Award for Outstanding Achievement and the Financial 2023 Responsible Business Education Award.
