Biography

Nicole Smith, also known as Nickie P, has been heavily involved in the music scene throughout her life. From 1996 to 2000, she attended private voice lessons and performed at local legion halls and street shows. Initially trained in classical music, she found her true passion in Hip Hop at age 14. In 2003, she joined forces with her brother Kevin, forming the Hip Hop crew Seven Chakraz, marking her official entrance into the scene. After Seven Chakraz disbanded in 2007, Nickie was determined to continue making music, releasing her debut solo album 'Glitter Wars' in 2009. She further expressed her artistic drive with the release of 'Triumphant Rise & Tragic Existence' under the name Sick Nick in 2013. After a long hiatus, she released 'Collective Thought E.P.' in 2021, which included a custom comic book designed by Kam Comics. Nickie focuses on performing, promoting, and developing her skills as an artist while also managing her role as a mother since 2022. She has opened for Hip Hop legends such as Digable Planets, Blackalicious, and KRS-One, and has organized multiple local events, including a popular monthly open mic night called Dojo at Blind Pig.
