Biography

Nicoletta Bobola is a Professor at the University of Manchester, specializing in Developmental Biology and Genomics. With a career spanning over two decades, she has held various academic positions, including Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at the same university, as well as a Junior Group Leader at the Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology in Germany. Nicoletta's research focuses on understanding the developmental processes of human and animal embryos, particularly how cell types are generated at the right places and times during development. Her work involves studying the interactions of regulatory elements within the genome that modulate transcription, highlighting the dynamic and tissue-specific nature of these processes. Nicoletta utilizes advanced genomics technologies to investigate developmental patterns, aiming to decipher the transcriptional networks that dictate the formation of various anatomical structures. She completed her PhD at the University of Genoa, Italy, and has contributed significantly to the understanding of transcription factor networks in cellular differentiation.
