Biography

Niels Beck, MD, FACEP, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Washington. His expertise encompasses emergency medicine and healthcare simulation, holding additional roles as Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Healthcare Simulation Science within the Department of Surgery. Dr. Beck's administrative responsibilities include serving as the Co-Director of Procedural Education for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program and Acting Clerkship Director of the Emergency Medicine Clerkship at UW School of Medicine. Dr. Beck also fulfills a critical role as a sideline medical official with the National Football League (NFL) and is on the Board of Directors for the Washington Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). His research interests center on procedural education, healthcare simulation, and trauma life support.
