Biography

Nigel's career has spanned investment banking, venture capital, management consulting, and coaching. Throughout his career, Nigel has worked at the intersection of corporate finance, strategy, and people. He is passionate about understanding the fundamental drivers of value and incentivizing company leadership to deliver long-term value creation. Currently, Nigel serves as a strategy advisor at Stork & ten, specializing in providing coaching, mentoring, and advice to board-level executives at significant points in their careers, typically when they are joining a new organization, promoted internally, or leaving an organization. Previously, Nigel spent 13 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner in the London Office and led the European Corporate Finance Practice. His career also includes roles as an analyst at Greenhouse Fund, the in-house corporate venturing arm of Reuters, and as a business analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank. Nigel believes that everyone intending to work in business must understand the fundamental drivers of value creation at a high level, acknowledging that it can be complicated – the challenge lies in the detail. For the past decade, he has been a guest lecturer in the MBA program, lecturing on topics such as valuation, value creation, performance management, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
