Biography

Nihit Goyal is an Assistant Professor in Public Policy at the Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management (TPM) at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He serves on the Board of Studies at TPM and represents TU Delft on the Advisory Board of the Netherlands Institute of Governance (NIG). He is the Lead Editor for the Policy Innovation section of the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis (JCPA). Nihit holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Law, a dual-degree Master in Public Affairs and Public Policy, and a PhD in Public Policy. His previous positions include software engineer at Philips, research scientist at the Center for Study of Science and Technology Policy, visiting researcher at Yale University, and postdoctoral fellow at Yale-NUS College. Nihit's research focuses on policy innovation to address societal challenges such as climate change, energy transitions, and digital transformation. His approach combines interdisciplinary perspectives from policy studies, global studies, and science & technology studies with mixed methods, including computational text analysis and econometrics. Nihit is also involved in several funded projects related to climate policies and clean-energy transitions.
