Biography

Nikita Divissenko is an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University in the Department of International and European Law within the Utrecht School of Law. He coordinates the Master’s Programme in Law Technology Europe and co-teaches the course on EU Digital Innovation Regulation. His research primarily focuses on the intersection of digital finance and the regulation of technological innovation. He is the author of the forthcoming book 'Regulating Innovation in the Digital Age' scheduled for release in 2025. Nikita obtained his PhD from the European University Institute in 2022 and holds LLM degrees in International, European, and Comparative Law from the EUI, as well as in European Law from Leiden University, where he graduated cum laude. Before joining Utrecht University, Nikita was a research associate at the Florence School of Banking & Finance, part of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies.
