Dr. Nikki Duong

Biography

Nikki Duong is a triple board-certified, fellowship-trained gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist at Stanford Health Care, serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes liver diseases, cirrhosis, chronic liver disease, liver cancer, autoimmune hepatitis, and viral hepatitis. Additionally, she addresses general gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Dr. Duong is skilled in minimally invasive endoscopic procedures for diagnosing gastrointestinal issues and is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. Her research interests encompass disparities among racial, sexual, and gender minority patients, aiming to enhance access to care and understand social determinants of health. Dr. Duong is a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ medical community, contributing to various organizations and initiatives to support inclusivity and educational efforts within gastroenterology.
