Nikolaos Giannopoulos is currently appointed as an Assistant Professor of International European Law at the Faculty of Law of Utrecht University and serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in EU Energy Law at the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans Sustainability Law (UCWOSL). He has worked as a visiting research fellow at Oxford University and has shared his expertise at numerous international conferences and workshops. His published works cover various topics in law including the law of the sea, international environmental law, international investment law, and EU human rights law. Nikolaos is also a qualified lawyer with the Athens Bar Association, where he has practiced public administrative law for several years.
