Biography

Nikolas M. Rajkovic is a Professor and Chair of International Law at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, and a senior faculty member at the Harvard Law School’s Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP). He was awarded the prestigious Fernand Braudel Fellowship at the European University Institute for the 2021-2022 academic year, and continues as a Visiting Fellow in the Law Department from 2022 to 2025. His research operates at the intersection of International Law, International Relations, and Critical Geography, with an upcoming book titled 'Map: Critical Geography in International Law' set to be published by Cambridge University Press in 2026. This work challenges the existing cartographic imagination in international law and rethinks issues of global authority and infrastructures. Rajkovic has taught in Canada, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, and is recognized as a leading voice in international legal theory and interdisciplinary scholarship. He has been voted “Most Inspiring Teacher” by his undergraduate and graduate students at Tilburg Law School in both 2019 and 2023.
