Biography

Niloofar Akbarian-Saravi is a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at UBC’s Materials Manufacturing Research Institute and a sessional lecturer in the Faculty of Management. She holds dual PhDs in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, specializing in sustainable operations research and supply chain management. Her research focuses on developing optimization frameworks that integrate techno-economic analysis, life cycle assessment, and multi-criteria decision-making for complex supply chain operations. She actively participates in the academic community, serving as a reviewer and organizer for international conferences, and has been recognized with awards from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
