Biography

Nina Araneta-Alana holds a Bachelor of Science degree from De La Salle University, where she graduated cum laude. She completed her Juris Doctor at Ateneo de Manila University and later earned a Master of Laws and PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2023. Nina is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Australian National University, where she teaches and researches in the fields of international law and climate change. She has acted as the National Special Rapporteur for Australia at the International Academy of Comparative Law General Congress in 2022. With extensive experience in international financial transactions, Nina has provided significant legal support for projects focused on renewable energy and infrastructure development while working with leading law firms in Manila, Philippines, and the Asian Development Bank.
