Biography

Nina Ball is an award-winning scenic designer with professional experience at notable institutions such as the American Conservatory Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, California Shakespeare Theater, and San Francisco Playhouse. Additionally, Ms. Ball has a background in film and television commercial production in Los Angeles. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology with an emphasis on Marine Ecology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and studied visual art and photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She completed her Master's degree in Scenic Design and Costume Design at San Francisco State University. Currently a lecturer in the Theater Performance Studies Department at the University of California, Berkeley, Ms. Ball teaches various design courses and is a member of the United Scenic Artists, Local 829.
