Nina Kann is a professor of organic chemistry at Chalmers University, leading a research group focused on the development of methods in organic chemistry and the synthesis of functional organic molecules. Her recent research efforts include the development of domino reactions for synthesizing chiral polycyclic scaffolds utilizing biocatalysis and transition metal catalysis, as well as green methodologies, such as E-selective alkyne hydrogenation with alcohols as the hydrogen source. Additionally, she is interested in the development of molecular sensors and biomarkers for small organic species through click chemistry. Nina teaches Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry at both the Bachelor and Master levels, and she currently serves as the Vice Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, where she holds responsibilities for graduate education.
General requirements apply to all departments listed at Chalmers. Specific departments like Architecture require a portfolio. Programs in Management/Economics do not strictly require GMAT/GRE but high academic standing is prioritized.
