Biography

Nina Kupper is an Associate Professor in Medical and Clinical Psychology at Tilburg University, Netherlands. She obtained her Ph.D. in behavior genetics from VU Amsterdam and has held a fellowship at the Georgia Prevention Institute in the USA before starting her position at Tilburg University in 2013. Kupper heads the Cardiac Psychology research team and is the principal investigator of the THORESCI study, which explores psychosocial risk factors and outcomes for patients with heart disease undergoing coronary angioplasty in South Netherlands. She is also a council member of the Society for Biopsychosocial Science Medicine and serves as an associate editor for the journal Biopsychosocial Science Medicine. Her expertise includes the interplay of biological and psychological processes in health and disease, focusing on psychophysiology and cardiac psychology. Kupper is actively involved in teaching biology-oriented courses within the Medical Psychology Master program and is available for supervising traineeship and thesis projects. Her research has been published in several high-impact journals, and she has received multiple grants from national funders, serving on several grant committees.
