Biography

I am a behavioral scientist dedicated to advancing science and practice in behavior change, with a focus on topics ranging from the influence of technology on human decision-making to consumer behavior, ethical decision-making, and social impact. I serve as a Co-Principal Investigator on the Platform Governance Research Lab, which is generously sponsored by a National Science Foundation grant. My research investigates how environmental cues and technology interactions, particularly in artificial intelligence, affect thinking about products, prices, donations, information sharing, and advice taking, with significant implications for ethics, business, policy, and societal welfare. I have received accolades such as being nominated for the SSHRC Aurora Prize for Outstanding New Researcher in Canada and the William F. O'Dell Award for significant contributions to marketing theory and practice. My work has been published in leading academic journals and featured in popular media outlets, and I have been involved in high-profile public engagements with organizations like the World Bank and the European Commission. I have previously held positions such as a senior behavioral scientist at the World Bank and have contributed to behavioral economics research in Canada, including my role co-directing the Behavioral Economics Action Research Center at Rotman.
