Biography

Nina Srinivasan Rathbun is a Professor in the Teaching Stream at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, University of Toronto. She has previously held positions in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Southern California. Professor Rathbun received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. Her research includes international security, multilateral nuclear non-proliferation, and counterproliferation policies, as well as European integration and political economy in post-Communist Europe. She has published articles in prestigious journals such as International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, and Security Studies. Throughout her career, she has received the USC Excellence in Teaching grants for innovative teaching methods and has mentored hundreds of students in their academic pursuits in international relations and political science. She also has a history of involvement with the U.S. State Department Non-proliferation Bureau and the U.S. Mission to International Organizations at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.
