Biography

Anthony Guo is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Head of the School of Engineering and the School of Information Technology at Monash University Malaysia. Before joining Monash in 2009, Professor Guo developed his academic career at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in China and a PhD from Imperial College London in the UK. His research interests include stress wave propagation, ultrasound applications, piezoelectric transducers, smart materials and structures, material characterization, and nondestructive testing techniques. He has published widely, with over 130 publications in journals and conferences, and has secured competitive research grants totaling S$2 million. Professor Guo has graduated more than 10 PhD students. His expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to research and development efforts aimed at addressing global challenges.
