Dr. Ninna Aggerholm Pedersen

Biography

Ninna Aggerholm-Pedersen is a Clinical Associate Professor at Aarhus University with a dedicated focus on improving treatment for patients with sarcomas, a complex and rare group of cancers. She leads and participates in a range of national and international studies, spanning clinical trials and molecular biological analyses, with a focus on understanding genetic and biological mechanisms of treatment response and resistance. Dr. Aggerholm-Pedersen works closely with international networks such as EURACAN and EORTC and is responsible for protocols in biobank projects in Denmark. Her leadership roles include being a Board Member of the Danish Sarcoma Group and the Translational Cancer Network at Aarhus University, as well as the Chair of the National Sarcoma Registry. She regularly lectures and teaches on rare cancers to enhance the knowledge base for healthcare professionals and patients alike. Dr. Aggerholm-Pedersen's academic journey began with a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Aarhus University in 2004, followed by a medical degree in 2007 and a PhD in Oncology in 2015, also from Aarhus University. Her combined scientific and clinical training has provided her with a robust foundation to work effectively at the intersection of research and patient care.
