Biography

Nisha Trivedi is an Assistant Professor in Health Services, Policy, and Practice at Brown University School of Public Health. She earned her ScB and MD from Brown University and an MPH in Global Health from Harvard School of Public Health. Trivedi is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a pain medicine specialist, having completed her anesthesia residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a pain medicine fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Combining her clinical background with a passion for teaching, she joined the Brown faculty in 2013, initially serving as an adjunct lecturer. Over the years, she has developed and taught courses designed to address global health perspectives, particularly for Afghan students at Brown. She currently instructs several courses, including PHP0060 - Complexities and Challenges in Global Health, PHP0720 - Public Health and the Environment, and PHP1910 - Public Health Senior Seminar. Trivedi's focus remains on undergraduate education and advising, helping students navigate complex health topics.
