Biography

Nitin Kale is a Professor in the Engineering Practice Information Technology Program (ITP) at the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) within the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California. He has been teaching at USC Viterbi since 1995 and specializes in Enterprise Information Systems, databases, data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. His latest endeavors include the development and launch of several minors, such as the Minor in Enterprise Information Systems, Minor in Applied Analytics, and Minor in AI Applications. Nitin is recognized for his contributions to the field and was awarded the 2016 Majdi Najm Outstanding Service award from SAP University Alliances. He also received the John O'Brien Faculty Service Award in 2020 from the Viterbi School of Engineering. Nitin's academic journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science and a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from USC. He actively participates in academic and industry events globally, focusing on technological advancements and their integration into university curricula.
