Dr. Nitya Rajeshuni

Biography

Nitya Rajeshuni is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University. She is involved in various faculty activities at the Stanford Center for Asian Health Research Education (CARE), the Center for Innovation in Global Health (CIGH), and the Maternal and Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI). Dr. Rajeshuni earned her BS and MS in Epidemiology and Clinical Research, as well as her MD from Stanford University. She completed her residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and a Biodesign Innovation Fellowship at Harvard University. Her research focuses on advancing health equity for racial and ethnic minorities, with a particular emphasis on Asian populations. She investigates health disparities, access to care, and implementation evaluation of public digital health solutions in low- and middle-income countries. Nitya is committed to teaching and mentorship, serving as the Associate Program Director for the CARE Scholars Team Science Fellowship. She is also the Faculty Co-Director for FAMMED 210: Healer’s Art, and supports various student involvement initiatives. In addition to her academic roles, Nitya is an accomplished vocalist, performing in world music ensembles and participating in community-based projects aimed at diabetes prevention in India. Her contributions to health equity and research continue to have a significant impact on the communities she serves.
