Dr. Noa Fleiss

Biography

Noa Fleiss joined the Yale Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in 2020 after completing her neonatology fellowship and pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian - Columbia University. Dr. Fleiss serves as the Director of Quality Improvement for Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital NICU, leading initiatives focused on non-invasive respiratory care, infection prevention, and maternal mental health. She co-directs the quality improvement curriculum for pediatric residency trainees, mentoring those interested in quality improvement work. Her clinical research interests primarily revolve around neonatal infectious diseases, especially the diagnosis and management of neonatal sepsis. Dr. Fleiss emphasizes the importance of real-time improvements in neonatal outcomes through the implementation of evidence-based practices, which she finds incredibly fulfilling. She holds a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University, specializing in neonatal-perinatal medicine, small baby care, and infection prevention in the NICU. Her passion lies in helping vulnerable infants successfully transition from in-utero environments to the external world by ensuring they receive the best possible care during critical times.
