Biography

Noah Silverberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Windsor, followed by a clinical internship at the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority Consortium. Since joining UBC in 2020, Dr. Silverberg has served as a staff psychologist at British Columbia's GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre for 10 years, where he led an interdisciplinary research program focused on brain injury. His research primarily investigates the psychosocial determinants of health concerning neurological disorders, particularly concussion and traumatic brain injury. He aims to understand the psychological mechanisms, such as maladaptive thinking and coping styles, that perpetuate symptoms related to concussion and health conditions. Dr. Silverberg's work also includes developing and evaluating novel treatments within this context. His interests encompass neuropsychological assessment methods, cognitive rehabilitation, metacognition, functional neurological disorder, and implementation science.
