Dr. Noel Busch Armendariz

Biography

Noel Busch-Armendariz is a professor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work and the director of the Institute on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault at The University of Texas at Austin. With decades of experience in the field, Dr. Busch-Armendariz has worked extensively on issues related to interpersonal violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. He has served as an expert witness in numerous criminal, civil, and immigration cases involving domestic violence and sexual assault, and co-directs a national training program for ethical and effective expert witnesses. Dr. Busch-Armendariz holds a Ph.D. in Social Work, a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Social Work, all from the University of South Carolina. His primary research interests include sexual assault, interpersonal violence, domestic violence, prostitution, human trafficking, and asylum seekers.
