Biography

Noel Roycroft is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Harvard Law School, where he serves as the Director of the Transactional Law Clinics (TLC). In this role, he trains and supervises law students representing clients in a variety of transactional matters within the broader Massachusetts community. His legal practice primarily focuses on serving entrepreneurs, small businesses, social enterprises, non-profits, and community groups. His expertise spans several transactional legal areas, including business and non-profit formations, corporate governance, securities offerings, contract negotiations, commercial leasing, and intellectual property matters in the arts and entertainment sectors. Before joining TLC, Noel worked as an associate in the corporate department of Ropes & Gray, LLP, where he represented investment products and managers on transactional and regulatory issues. He also has experience as a fellow associate counsel at the national office of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he served in various roles for the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He has been active in the non-profit sector in fundraising and development. Noel holds a B.A. in Sociology and Visual Art from Bowdoin College, a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management from Northeastern University, and a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law, graduating summa cum laude.
