Dr. Noémie Elhadad

Biography

Noémie Elhadad is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University. She holds an affiliation with the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and serves as the Director of Medical Information Services at NewYork-Presbyterian. Her research is situated at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), human-centered computing, and medicine, with a focus on developing novel machine-learning methods. Elhadad leads the AI VP&S Initiative at Columbia University, a research initiative aimed at advancing data-powered women’s health. She is dedicated to designing AI-driven tools that support both patients and clinicians, ensuring that future AI systems are safe, effective, and capable of enhancing medical advancement.
