Dr. Nofrat Schwartz

Biography

Nofrat Schwartz, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery, specializing in Otolaryngology. Dr. Schwartz earned his medical degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he graduated with honors and was listed on the Dean’s honor list. Following completion of his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Meir Medical Center in Israel, he pursued a fellowship in Neurotology and skull base surgery at the University of North Carolina. His clinical practice focuses on both adult and pediatric patients, addressing a variety of diseases of the middle and inner ear. His surgical interests span cochlear implantation, tympanoplasty, treatment of facial nerve disorders, and management of skull base tumors. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Schwartz is actively involved in research related to cochlear implants and middle ear ventilation. He is recognized for his contributions to the field, having received several awards, including the Israeli Society Head and Neck Surgery Oncology Award for Research. He is a member of various professional societies, including the Association for Academic Surgery and the American Neurotology Society, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of otolaryngology and improving patient care.
