Biography

Noha Razek received her PhD in Economics in 2012 from the University of Alberta. She has over 15 years of research experience and her primary research interests include International Finance, Energy Economics, International Energy Policy, and the Energy Economy. Before joining the University of Regina as an Associate Professor, she held various positions in government, academia, and international research institutes both in Canada and overseas. Notably, she was a senior research associate at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC). Additionally, she served as a post-doctoral fellow and researcher at the School of Business at the University of Alberta and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo. Dr. Razek's research has been published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals as well as non-refereed publications, and she has presented her findings at both national and international conferences. She has also been involved as a liaison with the American Economic Association's Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP).
