Dr. Noor Ul Huda Ghori

Biography

Noor-Ul-Huda Ghori is a Research Officer and Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. She specializes in microbial ecology and has a PhD focused on microbial interactions and polyextremophiles. Noor-Ul-Huda's research interests include the application of microbial ecology in various environments, particularly in understanding the microbial ecosystem of human breast milk, skin, and the nasopharynx of young children. Her work aims to utilize microbial interaction models to elucidate how microbes operate in their environments. She has presented her research at both local and international forums and has received several awards in acknowledgment of her contributions to the field. Noor-Ul-Huda is currently involved in multiple projects, including the development of microbiome-based interventions for enhanced healing of burn wounds. She is engaged in a multi-centre approach to microbiome workflows and has contributed to the purchase of critical equipment for research purposes. Noor-Ul-Huda holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia, an M.Phil from the National University of Sciences and Technology in Pakistan, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lahore.
